This morning i had confirmed my conclusion from a few weeks back that Samantha Maiden is essentially a troll. As such, i present some selected tweets from this morning.
I’m thinking her tweets to me (in the second to top group here) constitute something like “forced trolling,” where you’re forced to respond (in this case to show that i’m willing to correct the record) even though you know you’re being trolled. Kind of similar to concern trolling but with a twist. News Ltd have this down to a tee - see also: Matt Franklin.
It’s all much ado about nothing, and i probably put too much time into the “investigation” of her “peanut gallery” comment, but the pay off was was pretty revealing. I’d recommend playing her with the straightest of bats in future.
